Can you inspect a car I am buying from a private seller?
Yes, provided the seller agrees to let the vehicle come to us. A seller who refuses an independent inspection is giving you useful information of a different kind.
Does an inspection guarantee the car will not break?
No, and nobody can promise that. An inspection identifies the condition of the vehicle on that day and the wear items approaching the end of their life. It substantially reduces the risk of an unpleasant surprise; it does not eliminate it.
What if the inspection finds problems?
Then you have a decision to make with real information. Some findings are normal wear that should be reflected in the price. Others, particularly structural corrosion or evidence of flood damage, are reasons to walk away. We explain which is which.
