Plenty of local business websites publish a separate page for every nearby town, each one a copy of the last with the place name swapped. It is a search tactic, and it produces pages that tell a reader nothing they did not already know.

Southeast Nassau County, mostly within a fifteen-minute drive of Wantagh Avenue.
Bellmore and North Bellmore
Directly west of us along Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway, usually under ten minutes outside rush hour.
Seaford
Immediately east on the other side of Seaford Creek, reached along Merrick Road or Sunrise Highway.
Massapequa and Massapequa Park
East along the Sunrise Highway corridor, a straightforward drive that avoids the parkways entirely.
Merrick
West along Merrick Road, then south on Wantagh Avenue. Common for customers who work along the South Shore.
Levittown and Island Trees
North on Wantagh Avenue straight through Jerusalem Avenue. One road most of the way.
East Meadow
South on Newbridge Road or the Wantagh State Parkway, then onto Wantagh Avenue in the village.
Bethpage and Plainedge
South on the Wantagh State Parkway or Broadway, joining Wantagh Avenue southbound.
What local means mechanically
South Shore driving is hard on specific parts.
Cars in this area age in a particular pattern, and it is worth knowing before you buy one or decide what a repair is worth. Road salt through the winter attacks brake lines, fuel lines, subframes, exhaust hangers, and suspension mounting points, none of which is visible from a walk-around.
Short trips are the other local factor. A car that runs four miles to the station and four miles home never fully reaches operating temperature, which is hard on oil, on exhaust systems, and on batteries. Many South Shore commuters are on the severe-service maintenance schedule in their owner manual without realizing it.

Does Cherrywood Auto have more than one location?
No. There is one Cherrywood Auto, at 1386 Wantagh Ave, Wantagh, NY 11793. Every service, every vehicle, and every appointment happens at that address. You will not find pages on this site claiming branches in towns where we do not have one.
How far do people travel for service?
Most customers come from Wantagh and the surrounding South Shore communities, typically within a fifteen-minute drive. People do come further for specific work, particularly when they have used the shop before, but proximity is the usual reason.
Do you sell to buyers outside Nassau County?
Yes. A used vehicle can be sold to any buyer, though New York sales tax is generally based on where the buyer lives rather than where the vehicle is purchased. Registration and title paperwork follows the buyer’s residence as well.
Can I leave my car and take the train?
The Wantagh LIRR station is a short drive north of us on the same road, which some customers use on a service day. Mention it when you call so we can plan the timing around your train.
What are your hours?
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Closed Sunday. Hours can change around holidays, so calling 516-785-9378 before you leave is the safest way to confirm.
Do you perform New York State inspections for any vehicle?
Inspections are performed here for eligible vehicles regardless of where they were purchased. If the check engine light is on or the battery was recently disconnected, allow extra time, because the vehicle may not be ready for the emissions portion of the test.
